Text Box: Ms. Arthurton grew up in Fullerton, California and graduated with honors from Fullerton Union High School in 1992.  She received Bachelors Degree in music education from Chapman University where she graduated Cume Laude in 1996. Two years later, she received her credential from Chapman University in 1998.  After graduation, Ms. Arthurton taught in the Fullerton School District and in 1999, she arrived at Valencia High School where she is the Director of Vocal Music. She has been happily married since 2001. She and her husband, Noel, have two boys; Isaiah and Eli, and a daughter, Mikayla.
This has been a very exciting year for the Vocal Music Program. The program has grown to over 100 hard working and dedicated students assembling five choirs.  Many of these talented students have had the honor to sing the National Anthem at a number of Los Angeles Clipper’s games. Under the direction of Ms. Arthurton, the choir has traveled extensively to places such as San Diego, San Francisco and Las Vegas.  In 2006, the choir participated in the National Invitational Festival in New York City receiving a Gold ranking. In 2008, the choir will compete in the Heritage Festival in Hawaii.
The students appreciate the support they have been given by friends, students, parents, boosters and staff during the current music season.
